This morning on the show Mojo gave you your choice of weird news headlines to hear. You called in and voted and these were our winners:
Stop Horsing Around!
In Arvada, Colorado, a guy in a cowboy hat was actually given a ticket for riding his horse under the influence. Brian Drone was given a $25 traffic violation ticket in a strip mall parking lot. Sgt. Jeff Monzingo said the citation was the first of its kind that he'd seen in 15 years of working in law enforcement. The tough part was deciding what to do with the horse because you can't just tow those in. A stable owner eventually offered Mr. Drone and his horse a ride home. (KUSA-TV)
Third-Grader With a Hit List?
This is scary. In Hamilton, Ohio, A third-grader was expelled from a local private school, Immanuel Lutheran, after a "hit list" of students and a teacher was found in his desk. The boy had apparently written down the names of students and a teacher that he wanted to kill. Michael Mayo, the school's principal, said he acted on a tip and found the list in the student's desk. Mayo later said, "We never believed for a second that people were truly in danger but this sort of thing in this day and age, you just can't do that. It will never be acceptable." Mayo also said the student was troubled and had received counseling in the past and that while he won't be welcome back on school grounds, they'll continue to pray for him. (Hamilton Journal)
Dirty Hary
You can now call England's Prince Harry "Dirty Harry." This after the 24-year-old prince claimed he has not washed his hair for two years! Harry made the revelation while celebrating with fellow rooky pilots after completing phase one of their Army Air Corps training. But the biggest laugh came when the Prince, worth around $10 million, claimed he was short of beer money. A customer said: "It was hilarious. Here's a bloke who is royalty and he's feeling the pinch. He told his friends, "I've only brought a $20 with me. That's all I've got."
Congratulations to Kim of Danville for winning 3 Doors Down tickets this morning!
